Elsa Lardier
Her pole is there, always, as a connection between the floor and an upper space. Like that, she can jam and travel through spaces around and on it.
This black line, Elsa is adapting herself to, and she is creating shapes around it. It feels important for her to connect to it finding freedom, trust and honesty.
She likes the feeling she finds on the pole, a sense that she is suspended over time and through the space - to knit her body around it, to find balanced positions, and to play, bounce in rhythm with what it can give to her.
Improvisation as a center point, she finds freedom and ways to connect movements and positions both on the floor and on the pole, enjoying the feeling of a dilated time, repetitions or variations. It is fragile but robust, suspended but rooted, slow but sudden, huge but detailed, personal but shared, gentle but vivid…

Bio
Elsa started circus as a child. When she remembers her circus history is divided in three movements of three.
It began in high school when she realized that she was so interlaced with circus that it had to be a part of her future.
Afterwards, she started to teach circus for three years circus in her youth circus school close to Arras in the North of France.
Later in 2018, following the call from her childhood, she entered a preparatory program at École de Cirque Jules Verne’ in Amiens.
She is now at the end of the last of the three movements… finishing her bachelor at Stockholm University of the Arts (SKH), which she entered in 2021, waiting to discover what her next three years will hold. She is grateful for all the people she met on her way since she started her circus journey, those who have nurtured, inspired and helped her develop into who she is now.
